Worth knowing

  • Cargo space is small and acceleration is leisurely. The 1.4-liter turbo can develop coolant leaks and PCV valve problems, so check for seepage.

The trim we'd park in our garage

Target a 2017 or newer Preferred or Essence: the refresh added Apple CarPlay, and the Essence adds leather, heated seats and blind-spot monitoring over the base trims.

On the test drive

Get a pre-purchase inspection and a vehicle history report before you buy.

Safety tech

  • Automatic emergency braking: not offered in this generation.
  • Adaptive cruise control: not offered in this generation.
  • Blind-spot monitoring: not standard in this generation, so check the listing.
