Worth knowing
- 2013: owner complaints spike (66, mostly the airbags).
- 2016: owner complaints spike (52, mostly the brakes).
- The rear seat is cramped, road noise is noticeable, and the tech feels dated compared with newer rivals.
The trim we'd park in our garage
Look for a 2016 or newer ILX with the Premium Package: the refresh brought a 2.4L engine and eight-speed transmission, and Premium adds blind-spot monitoring and upgraded audio. Automatic braking became standard from 2019.
